Events We Love: Paws In the Park
Barley Bones always loves supporting our local Humane Educational Society and Halloween brings a spooky fun event for all dog owners and lovers.
The HES has many events planned for the Paws in the Park fundraiser, including a dog walk, dog and human costume contest, food and so much more. Even if you don’t have a dog to bring, you can rent one for the day from the shelter!
The Humane Society describes the event:
Join HES in downtown Chattanooga at Ross’s Landing Park Saturday, October 29th from 10am to 2pm for the 14th annual Paws in the Park! Hundreds of animal lovers will be gathering to raise money for the animals at the Humane Educational Society. The dog walk is a fun way to support the shelters mission to provide education and outreach to our community, medical services for needy animals, humane investigation, shelter for homeless animals, and strong adoption programs ensuring all animals adopted will have safe and loving forever homes.
Don’t have a furry friend of your own but still want to participate in the walk? You can rent a shelter pet for the day and you’ll both love getting out and spending the afternoon together. Registration begins at 10 am and the dog walk starts at 10:30 am. All participants will receive an event t-shirt and goody bag. Enjoy animal demos, vendors, food, dog and human Halloween costume contest, adoptable pets, and more!
You can pre-register online for Paws in the Park and we hope to see you at Ross’ Landing with your best pups!
HES will also be selling our own Barley Bones treats for $7 a bag at all of their events this October, so keep an eye out for the spent grain goodness for your best canine friend.
