50 Shades of Green

Silly costumes aren’t only appropriate in October anymore, no-no, St. Patrick’s Day is a good enough reason to visit your local party or craft store to get the materials for epic costumes that’ll turn everyone green with envy over how awesome you and your pup look. Dog lovers are truly the most creative and they’ve turned the famous holiday into, ahem, St. PAWtrick’s Day, into something they can celebrate with their dogs. Also, with a little research you’ll probably find an event titled, Yappy Hour, near you. In Chattanooga, TN, near us, “DOGood for a Dog Friendly Chattanooga”, is hosting the 5th Annual St. PAWtrick’s Day Costume Walk and Yappy Hour on Saturday, March 15. The turn out is usually mastiff, so expect to see well over 50 Shades of Emerald Green.

Specific Details:

  • The walk begins at Renaissance Park by the Pavilion at 10 a.m. At 12:30 p.m.
  • They will parade the pups to Whole Foods’ (Greenlife) courtyard for Yappy Hour, from 1-3 p.m.
  • Participants are asked to dress themselves and their dogs in green
  • Free fresh-baked dog treats, giveaways and prizes

Help DOGood meet their goal of “keeping Chattanooga clean, green, and dog friendly” this month.
