BARLEY BONES IN COSTUME FOR A GOOD CAUSE
The folks over at our local animal rescue shelter always come up with the most creative ways to find happy new homes for their dogs and cats. For the first time this year they hosted a Halloween themed adoption party! It was equipped with amazing food and a Beer Garden, so yeah, it was a party. The best part about the event was the seriously low prices for already spayed and neutered fur babies! Almost everyone and their dog showed up to the Barktoberfest & Meowlloween event dressed to kill McKamey’s costume contest. Since we couldn’t attend the awesome event but still wanted to participate in the dressing up, we turned our regular treat bags into a scarier version of themselves and donated them to the cause. Every party should have treat bags or party favors, right? Besides having treats nearby when you’re training a new pet is a necessity! Twenty-five bags were given away to the 25 animals who were adopted first and some were sold at the event – the rest are on sale at McKamey Animal Shelter. A bag of dog treats are essential to have around when you’re training a new pup!
